Organo Therapy
Organo therapy belongs to the field of natural medicine. This organo therapy is very controversial from a medical point of view. It focuses on extracts, secretions and other medicines derived from animal sources. These organo therapeutics can be peptides or purified proteins, enzymes or other biochemical substances.
The basic idea is that e.g. the thymus gland plays a major role in the human immune system. This consideration in turn leads to the concept of strengthening the immune system so that a tumour can not grow any further. Only a healthy body can fight cancer in the long run. So what is the thymus gland? The thymus gland ripens T-cells out of stem cells in the bone marrow. Organo preparations such as thymus peptides have therefore long been of interest to the emerging field of immunological research. It has been proved that organo therapy can positively stimulate the immune system. This effect is achieved by interactions with the immune system and the tumour-inhibiting effects resulting therefrom.
However, organo therapy can never cure cancer in an acute stage. It has to be used as an accompanying measure together with the three well-known methods of treatment. Organo therapy is therefore often utilised after chemotherapy or radiation therapy. The reason for this is that chemotherapy or radiation therapy weaken the immune system during the treatment. Infections often result, which only a strengthened immune system can fight. Organo therapy is therefore a suitable therapy to help patients to make a faster recovery from the actual treatment.
