As long as almost one hundred years ago, medical science came to the conclusion that cancer is caused by the interaction of two factors: The powers of resistance of the organism and the malignancy of the tumour cell. In particular, the first of these factors calls for an alternative cancer treatment. Further consideration therefore has to be given to the development of a purely biological therapy. Cancer patients deserve to be provided with an alternative.

As in almost every medical field, alternative biological treatments are neglected and greatly underestimated. This alternative cancer treatment should strongly focus on the body’s innate resistance. In spite of the fact that the role of the immune system has long since been recognised, an actual alternative treatment on this basis is still at a very early stage.

The various forms of alternative cancer treatment can be used to support treatment in clinics and medical practices. These approaches are mostly aimed at extending the patient’s life, avoiding metastasis and/or recurrence. Unfortunately no research has been able to come up with an alternative concept which results in a cure.

These alternative cancer treatments can therefore at best be considered as a complementary method to support conventional oncology. First clinical studies prove the immune-protective and anti-tumoural effect of defined concepts of alternative cancer treatments, which are directly linked with an increased quality of life.
